Terrance Hall, Purchased a hope heating oil contract over the phone with Cernak. Was able to get a much lower price for the yearly amount of oil rerserved for me.
I used Cernak for a year, but declined to renew this winter. We had issues with our boiler at the start of the winter and had to call the Cernak service tech out twice. He was a nice guy but didn't seem to have any idea how to troubleshoot the boiler, despite it being relatively new. We ended up hiring a separate company to come take a look at it and they identified and resolved the issue quickly.
This company has been quietly overcharging my elderly mother $4.85 per gallon of heating oil when the highest rate that I can find with other companies is under $3.50. They prey on the elderly! Do not just respond by saying, “let’s take this quietly off line”. Answer for yourself publicly.
